Dear Teachers.

It is our hope that by using the Gubyllub and the Bullybug as a metaphor for kind and bullying behaviour we can offer children a fun and engaging way to learn about social and emotional literacy.

We believe that rather than labelling the child as 'the bully' it is more beneficial to label the behaviour and focus on the skills that need strengthening to deal with a particular issue.

 For this reason, we have developed a set of free resources for teachers to use alongside 'The Gubyllub' book. Using the Gubyllub and the Bullybug to deliver messages around the topic of bullying behaviour we hope to plant a seed of consciousness and help children navigate their way to kind behaviour.
